| UEFA European Football Championship är den största fotbollsturneringen för fotbollslandslag som omfattas av UEFA (Union of European Football Associations). Turneringen hålls vart fjärde år sedan 1960, i de jämna år mellan VM. Turneringen hette ursprungligen "EM Nations Cup", men ändrades 1968 till det nuvarande namnet.
Innan turneringen måste alla lag utom värdnationerna (som kvalificerar sig automatiskt) spela kvalmatcher.

| Primera División (Första divisionen) av Liga de Fútbol Profesional (Professionella fotbollsligan), mer känd som La Liga (Ligan) eller Liga BBVA (BBVA League) sedan 2008 är den professionella fotbollsligan i Spanien. Ligan är indelad i olika divisioner, varav Primera División är den högsta och Segunda División den näst högsta. Primera División består av 20 lag (2007).
Primera División anses vara en av världens absolut bästa fotbollsligor.

| Serie A är den högsta divisionen i fotboll för herrar i Italien. Serie A startade säsongen 1929/1930.
Formatet har varierat mycket genom åren. För närvarande deltar 20 lag i Serie A och fr.o.m. säsongen 1994/1995 får det vinnande laget tre poäng för seger (tidigare två). I slutet av säsongen tilldelas det vinnande laget lo scudetto (italienska för "lilla skölden") som bevis på att man är regerande mästare.

| Emirates Cup |

| The Emirates Cup is an annual two-day pre-season football tournament hosted by English Premier League club Arsenal and held at the Emirates Stadium, the club's home ground. It is similar in style to the Amsterdam Tournament hosted by Ajax.
Much like the Amsterdam Tournament, each team plays two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw, and a point for every goal scored. From the 2009 edition, if teams are tied on points, goal difference and goals scored, they are ranked by the total shots on target during the tournament.

The UEFA Super Cup (also called the European Super Cup) is an annual football game between the reigning champions of the two cup competitions organized by UEFA; the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
From 1972 to 1999, the UEFA Super Cup was contested between the winners of the European Cup/UEFA Champions League and the winners of the European Cup Winners' Cup/UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. After the discontinuation of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, it has been contested by the winners of the UEFA Champions League and the winners of the UEFA Cup, which was renamed as the UEFA Europa League in 2009. |

| The Football Association Community Shield (formerly the Charity Shield) is English football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Premier League season and the holders of the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium. Often seen as a 'gloried friendly' which ranks below the FA Cup and League Cup, the fixture is a recognised football Super Cup. Organised by the Football Association, proceeds from the game are distributed to community-based initiatives and charities around the country. The fixture was first played in the 1908–09 season, replacing the Sheriff of London Charity Shield. |

| FA-cupen, engelska FA Cup, förkortning för The Football Association Challenge Cup, är en fotbollsturnering arrangerad av engelska fotbollförbundet: Football Association. Namnet "FA-cupen" syftar på den engelska tävlingen för män, den för kvinnor heter FA Women's Cup.
FA-cupen är världens äldsta fotbollstävling, den startade 1871-72. 2009-10 deltar 762 lag vilket gör att den rankas som världens största nationella fotbollsturnering.

DFB-Pokal eller DFB Cupen, grundad 1935, är ett tysk fotbollsmästerskap som hålls årligen. 64 lag deltar i tävlingen, både från Bundesliga och 2nd Bundesliga.
Den anses vara den näst viktigaste nationella titeln i tysk fotboll efter Bundesliga mästerskapet.
